A full-day guided tour of the Douro Region, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, with visits to Amarante, a scenic viewpoint, a traditional lunch, a winery tour, and a boat trip in Pinhão.
Embark on this comfortable journey to the Douro Valley, a gem recognized by UNESCO. This enchanting valley, where vibrant greens and golden hues blend harmoniously with the flowing river, is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful places in the world. Experience nature in its purest form!
During this full-day guided tour, you will explore the cultural and historical significance of the region, renowned for its exceptional wines, including the famous Port Wine. For over two millennia, Port Wine has been crafted in the Douro by traditional landowners.
Your first stop will be Amarante, a city of great religious importance. Here, you can visit the convent and church, admire the historic bridge over the Tâmega River, or explore the charming historic center.
The tour continues to one of the region's most impressive spots: the Galafura viewpoint. At an altitude of 640 meters, this lookout offers breathtaking views of the Douro River and the surrounding landscapes. We promise this will be one of the highlights of your day.
After savoring a traditional lunch showcasing local gastronomy, the tour moves to Pinhão, one of the most picturesque villages in the region. Here, you can relax during a 45-minute panoramic boat trip on the tranquil waters of the Douro River, taking in the imposing natural landscapes and the stunning vineyards that define the area.
To cap off the day, visit a renowned winery in the region, where you'll have the chance to taste three exceptional wines and learn about the process of crafting the iconic Port Wine.

what our customers say
The Other Side company is excellent. The tour we did through the Douro and wineries was wonderful. The guide who took us was Thiago, very very good. I recommend the tour of the company and the guide.
The moments provided by Diana from The Other Side team were excellent. Their knowledge of the region and their friendliness have conquered us and without a doubt we will repeat the experience when coming to Porto, as we will also indicate them to our friends.
We met the Douro Valley with the kind and caring Cátia. We made the trip to Pinhão, with a visit to two excellent wineries. It is highly recommended to include the one hour river boat ride, which is optional. The view is breathtaking.
